Hi Everyone: This has been a bit of a steep learning curve BUT here is my first Podcast. You know how I keep harping about patience? Well, this inspiring audio is about Lisa’s 3 month battle (and it has been a battle) with a brutal psoriasis flare. Continue reading “WOW! This is inspiring! (BLOG #23 PODCAST)”
You know when you scrape your elbow and a few days or weeks later you have a flare of psoriasis where you damaged the skin? This is called the Koebner Phenomenon. It’s where psoriasis plaques appear at the site of cuts, abrasions, new tattoos, etc.
What I didn’t know about this was… Continue reading “The Koebner Phenomenon (BLOG #21)”
A few weeks ago I had an incident (a wrongful accusation) that made me really angry. And I mean seriously angry. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. And every time I revisited the incident (in my mind) it came back in Technicolor. I wrote letters (in my mind). Angry letters. Sad letters. Letters of frustration.
They didn’t help.
And guess who suffered? The person who had “done me wrong”? Nope! I did. And my immune system suffered too. Continue reading “Anger, Immune System and Psoriasis (BLOG #20)”
I had a choice with this most recent flare–freak out, get depressed, hide, feel helpless and hopeless. And, in truth, I did have some moments of all of these less than stellar emotions.
BUT, there was this part of me that kept saying “use this flare for some experimentation”. Continue reading “What I learned from this flare (BLOG #19)”

2014 was the first time my dog, Lucky, saved my life. I was almost ready to give up. My skin was worse than it had ever been and the itching was driving me mad. Suicide was looking like an attractive option. Continue reading “HELP! (BLOG #12)”
Remember last week’s photo? Dated August 21, 2014? My skin was covered with masses of bright red spots and plaques? Diagnosis=severe psoriasis.
This drawing was made 3 weeks plus 2 days later–using the high dosage D3 and k2mk7. Massive improvement. I had no idea how much my life was about to change…. Continue reading “Gratitude Heals the Mind (BLOG #9)”
CHARLIE BROWN——Gone Fishing!
Well, it has been said that all good things come to an end. And tonight, I heard from Charlie (aka the pain, aka headless) that he was moving on. I kind of knew this was in the works, but I never wanted to accept that he would (as he said) turn the page.
Charlie was an unlikely hero. He claimed that he didn’t care about anyone. But when he found his skin clearing (after 30 years of terrible psoriasis) he started posting on the NPF site. His down home style (gawd awful spelling and grammar) warmed the hearts of many and his thread grew rapidly. Continue reading “CHARLIE BROWN——Gone Fishing!”
