About DAIRY, from Greg

I got an e-mail from Greg re: the elimination of dairy. Here’s what he has to say:

“The elimination of dairy may not be to avoid the calcium in the dairy, but to avoid an immune response to the dairy. The dairy is triggering an immune response with an immediate flare up in psoriasis. The rapid reproduction of skin cells in the triggered psoriasis results in skin cell plaques with an excess of calcium.

This is my understanding after buying and reading the book by Amy Myers ‘The Autoimmune Solution’. Her thought is that anyone with an autoimmune disease must avoid dairy and gluten.”

So, thanks Greg. We are always happy to get more information that helps to make sense of this protocol. And it is true, all I have to do is eat a little dairy and I get a few spots of psoriasis. “Short term pleasure–long term pain!”
