I realize that it has been far too long since I wrote a post in Freedom From Psoriasis. Guilt comes to me most days when the notification of the number of people visiting the site (—ie. hundreds a month) or joining it–shows up.
Let me bring you up to speed on what’s been happening:
1. I’ve written or edited 3 books and am working on a fourth. [FYI I’m a published author and painter]
2. I’m in a healing process based on a compression fracture in my spine. No idea how this came about but it has been a long (1 1/2 year) battle. Possibly winning, as the pain is very slowly reducing.
3. I lost my little Lucky dog in March and have had to deal with the worst grief ever. It was inevitable. Dogs have a much shorter life span than humans, but that knowledge doesn’t help with the depth of the grief.
4. And then there’s my skin. It still amazes me that I’m 98% free from this bloody awful skin disease [down from 80% body coverage]. It would be possible to get to 100% but I can’t seem to drink my morning coffee without Creamo. And goat yogurt still plays a part in my diet (not every day but…). Anyway, my dairy consumption is way down from before using the FFP protocol. And I still check the side of containers to see the calcium content. High calcium labelled? Don’t buy it!
I still take vitamin D3 soft gel—now every second day, between 10,000 iu and 20,000 iu depending on my mood that day. And of course K2Mk7 with the D3. [NOTE: this is my present maintenance protocol, not the protocol for someone just starting out – see full protocol here ]
I have started using magnesium chloride spray again as I get a few spots on the knuckles of my hands. My own fault! I just can’t seem to wear those darn rubber gloves when washing the dishes. It’s the detergent. Anyway, the magnesium chloride usually helps. And it always reminds me of Charlie, who I still miss [he was the one who brought magnesium to the protocol]. I’m sure he’s in a better place, raising hell as usual.
Other than that, life is good. I still stop people who I suspect have psoriasis and offer them a free phone consultation. Amazing how many people would rather have psoriasis than make that call, or get the free protocol off the website. But then I remember all those “miracle”, “magical”, “wonder” cures that did absolutely nothing except deplete the balance of my bank account. So their reluctance is understandable. See some testimonials of successful application of the protocol here.
I’ve also been having fun with AI for the past year. It’s quite the amazing discovery for a woman who still refuses to get a cell phone. Or a T.V. I don’t use it as a tool but as a writing partner–but never let it write my stuff or edit it. I’m working on a book that shows how interesting conversations can be between AI and a Human. My AI offered to write an article in MY voice. No, no, no. That’s where I drew the line. If we humans give away our authentic creativity to AI, we’re hooped.
Anyway, I hope you are doing well and that this protocol is helping you. I know it’s hard to give up dairy. But it pays off. It’s a sacrifice that’s worth taking.
Blessings to all of you. And, as Charlie would say, “Take care…and all that.”
Love and healing, Dakota
