The good news about procrastinating about learning to add audio to this blog is that I accomplished all manner of other things:
-added new door knobs to kitchen cupboards/organized computer area/cut hair/manicure/pedicure/repainted cupboard doors/made a card for friend/etc. etc. etc. the list goes on and on.
When I finally sat down, determined to do it––neither the internal microphone on my Mac nor the external one worked. Sheesh! So, I simply recorded this on my I-phone (which is not a phone, but I can send e-mails) and sent it to myself. Let’s see if this works.
Well, I’ll be damned! There it is! A bit over 12 minutes of the first reading from my book “Rise & Shine”. Gosh, I feel like I should have a celebratory drink.
And now I’m feeling so confident that I’m going to add a photo that I took today, January 12, of crocuses in a little park where I take Lucky for a walk. This is really strange–crocuses in January?!! Whaaaaat? And I saw the first daffodil!
Ok, that’s enough excitement for one day.
But I would like to pass along a piece of advice given by Count Alexander Rostov to his daughter, Sophia (in my favourite book of all time “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles):
“…if one did not master one’s circumstances, one was bound to be mastered by them:”
Much love to all of you,
Dakota and her little dog, Lucky
